This week, the City of Nancy hosted Urban 7, the “Cities’ G7,” organized as part of France’s G7 presidency.
A few days before the G7 summit bringing together Heads of State and Government, mayors and elected officials from G7 cities gathered to discuss the role of territories in addressing the major challenges of our time: the ecological transition, housing, local governance, democracy… as well as the reconstruction and resilience of Ukrainian territories.
A significant Ukrainian delegation was present to share their experience and challenges: Oleksandr Syenkevych, Mayor of Mykolaiv; Vitalii Bielobrov, Deputy Mayor of Kherson; Serhii Morhunov, Mayor of Vinnytsia; Andriy Moskalenko, First Deputy Mayor of Lviv; and Bohdan Kelichavyi, Mayor of Kopychyntsi.
This international event was organized as part of France’s G7 presidency by France urbaine, the City of Nancy, Metropolitan Area of Nancy, and the Urban7 Secretariat (ICLEI, Global Parliament of Mayors).
