At just 10 years old, young Ukrainian pianist Nora Kostenko won the "À vous de jouer" music competition this evening, organized by SNCF Gares & Connexions at Paris-Est train station.
She shares the first prize with a 12-year-old French boy, Yann-Aël.
A refugee in France since the beginning of the Russian invasion, Nora embodies the hope, strength, and grace of Ukrainian youth.
Her moving performance of a piece by composer Ihor Shamo, chosen for its emotional power and its resonance with Ukraine’s courage, deeply moved both the audience and the jury, which included Julie Gayet, André Manoukian, and Jean Cotro, winner of the same competition in 2015.

One of the most violent attacks on Kyiv since the start of the full-scale invasion
On the night of June 17, the Ukrainian capital was targeted by a massive Russian attack, using suicide drones and various types of missiles, including ballistic missiles.
In the Solomyanskyi district, an entire section of a residential building was destroyed, reducing more than 40 apartments to rubble.

Ukrainian defense forces are carrying out a large-scale operation deep inside Russian territory, aimed at neutralizing strategic bomber aviation — the very force that strikes Ukrainian cities nightly and kills civilians.
This covert operation, named Pavoutyna (“the Web”), reportedly targeted 40 Russian aircraft, including A-50s, Tu-95s, and Tu-22M3s, according to SBU sources cited by Hromadske.
The damage is estimated at over 2 billion dollars. Four Russian airbases are believed to have been hit: Belaya, Olenya, Dyagilevo (Ryazan region), and Ivanovo (Ivanovo region).
