Today, Stand With Ukraine carried out its first school-based workshops, engaging with four vocational classes at Lycée Professionnel Galilée in Paris’s 13th arrondissement, with the support of the Île-de-France Region.

The program included: deciphering fake news, understanding disinformation in the age of artificial intelligence, exploring Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, and discussing the importance of freedom, European values, and the crucial role of youth.

Students also discovered Ukraine’s richness through its contemporary art scene, technological innovations, sporting achievements, and vibrant culture—symbols of resistance and hope. They gained a deeper understanding of the valuable contributions Ukraine can make to the European Union.

We are proud to see these students engage with curiosity and thoughtfulness on the major challenges of our time, while opening themselves up to Europe—and to Ukraine.

A heartfelt thank you to Lycée Professionnel Galilée for the warm welcome, and to the students from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and their professor, Olena Primierova, for their powerful video testimonies!

This initiative was made possible with the support of the Île-de-France Region.
