Thanks to the financial support of the Municipality of Marcilly-le-Châtel, two 6 kW generators were successfully delivered and installed in Nosivka, in Chernihiv region. This remarkable act of solidarity was also supported by SIEL 42 (Loire Intermunicipal Energy Syndicate), the public authority responsible for energy distribution in France’s Loire department, which is committed to regional development and the energy transition.
The first generator was installed at the Resilience Point of the House of Culture of the Nosivka Territorial Community, where it now provides backup electricity for the community’s essential needs.
The second generator was installed in the village of Doslidne, ensuring a continuous water supply by powering the local water well.
These installations were made possible through the coordination of Stand With Ukraine and Electriciens sans frontières, as part of the DesLumièresPourLhiver campaign—a practical response to the power outages affecting Ukraine as a result of Russian attacks on the country’s energy infrastructure.
When solidarity is collective and tangible, it can truly make a difference—even from 2,500 kilometres away.
