Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Stand With Ukraine and Expertise France to Strengthen Franco-Ukrainian Partnerships for Reconstruction
On the sidelines of the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC 2025), held in Rome on July 10 and 11, Stand With Ukraine and Expertise France signed a Memorandum of Understanding establishing strategic cooperation to develop partnerships between French and Ukrainian cities and local authorities to support the country’s reconstruction.
The agreement was signed by Jérémie Pellet, Managing Director of Expertise France, and Edward Mayor, President of Stand With Ukraine.
The second largest public technical cooperation agency in Europe, Expertise France mobilizes French know-how, innovation, and best practices to implement sustainable reconstruction projects tailored to local needs and the development prospects of Ukrainian communities.
Together, our two organizations will develop concrete initiatives building on the Franco-Ukrainian partnerships that Stand With Ukraine has supported for several years through the #MistoMatch program.
This cooperation is already reflected in:
• Connecting municipalities and analyzing their needs;
• Organizing study visits, internships, and training courses;
• Sharing sustainable solutions and experiences between communities.
Beyond responding to the emergency, the reconstruction of Ukraine embodies a vision for the future: an approach based on innovation, sustainability, and the excellence of French and Ukrainian practices, to strengthen the resilience of local communities and build a shared European future.
