On the night of August 9-10, the Ukrainian Defense Forces, supported by their drone units, struck the heart of the Saratov oil refinery in Russia, causing massive explosions and a widespread fire at one of the country’s most important oil sites.
Capable of processing up to 7 million tons of oil per year, this site is a key link in the fuel supply to the occupying army, the same fuel that powers the Russian bombers attacking Ukrainian cities every night.
By neutralizing this strategic infrastructure, Ukraine is directly weakening the enemy’s military and economic potential, bringing closer the day when it will be forced to end its war.
Saratov is located approximately 600 km from the front line. This strike demonstrates Ukraine’s reach, precision, and determination to reach strategic enemy infrastructure, even deep behind the lines.
Every such destruction deprives Russia of the means to terrorize Ukraine, attack civilians, and destroy Ukrainian cities.
