One Year.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On February 24, 2022<\/strong>, Russia sent its tanks toward Kyiv.<\/p>\n

On February 24, 2022<\/strong>, we knew that this Russian aggression would bring the worst upon the Ukrainian people.<\/p>\n

On February 24, 2022<\/strong>, Ukraine\u2014its people and its president\u2014chose resistance and freedom<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On February 24, 2022<\/strong>, we solemnly pledged to stand with Ukraine in its fight for the right to exist<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For a year, Ukraine has defied all predictions of its defeat<\/strong>, and Ukrainian society has continued its heroic struggle to survive<\/strong>, following the European path it has democratically chosen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For a year, the world has witnessed the courage, dignity, and unwavering commitment<\/strong> of the Ukrainian people, who have shattered the Kremlin\u2019s criminal plans<\/strong> and those of its accomplices\u2014who arrogantly believed Ukraine would fall within three days under the fire of fascism.<\/p>\n

But Ukraine refuses to submit<\/strong> to a deadly Russia<\/strong>. Ukraine refuses to see its culture, history, and identity trampled, wounded, and erased<\/strong> by its imperialist neighbor\u2014one that pretends to be a brother but will remain in history as nothing more than a bloody executioner, bringing only terror, as it always has<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For a year, the world has finally come to understand the true nature and sinister ambitions<\/strong> of Putin, his regime, his mercenaries, his enablers, and his collaborators<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

War crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide.<\/strong> Ukraine demands truth and justice for all its victims<\/strong>\u2014justice and truth that are essential for anyone who truly<\/strong> desires peace in Europe. Without justice, without truth, without the total defeat of the murderers, Europe will know only a temporary truce, woven from shame and lies.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For a year, across the world, the spirit of resistance has grown<\/strong>, uniting ever more supporters, rallying institutions\u2014even those we once thought too weakened\u2014around the core values of our democracies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On February 24, 2022<\/strong>, we made a promise: to stand with the Ukrainian resistance until the Russian invaders are driven from all of Ukraine\u2019s territory<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

One year later, on February 24, 2023, we renew our promise:<\/strong> we will stand unconditionally and unwaveringly with Ukraine in its fight for survival\u2014until victory.<\/strong><\/p>\n
