We are immensely proud to see<\/span> La Cantine de Marioupol<\/span><\/a> come to life, thanks to the commitment of the Stand With Ukraine teams and our partners. This project is much more than an act of solidarity, it’s an opportunity for <\/span>reconstruction<\/b> and <\/span>reintegration<\/b> for <\/span>displaced Ukrainian families,<\/b> and a symbol of hope for the country’s future.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

From the outset of this ambitious project, we have worked hand in hand with the<\/span>Ukrainian Embassy<\/b> in France and <\/span>Cuisine Mode d’emploi(s)<\/b>. This project would never have seen the light of day without the invaluable help of <\/span>Pierre Heilbronn<\/b>, special representative of the President of the Republic for the reconstruction of Ukraine, the team at <\/span>Business France Ukraine<\/b>, led by Romain Desthieux, and the diplomats at the <\/span>Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs<\/b>. We are also delighted to have supported the <\/span>Marioupol town council<\/b> in its partnership with the <\/span>Le Havre town council<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The apprentices from Marioupol were warmly welcomed by the <\/span>Toulouse City Council <\/b>and the <\/span>Free Ukraine – Toulouse<\/b> team.<\/span><\/p>\n

Together, we have laid the foundations for an initiative that aims to develop <\/span>skills<\/b>, create <\/span>jobs<\/b> and help <\/span>heal the psychological wounds<\/b> of Ukrainians hit by the war, by helping to<\/span> reintegrate<\/b> the people of Marioupol through concrete actions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today, seeing these<\/span> 12 apprentices from Marioupol begin their training in cooking<\/span><\/a>, baking, pastry-making and catering with <\/span>Michelin-starred chef Thierry Marx<\/b> and his team is a crucial step towards the creation of <\/span>La Cantine de Marioupol<\/b> in Dnipro. This future cultural centre is part of a project by the Marioupol town council, supported by the French Embassy, to renovate<\/span> 15,000 m\u00b2 of former student accommodation<\/b>. This project will accommodate 380 displaced families from Marioupol, and La Cantine de Marioupol will contribute to their human and social reconstruction by offering them a place to share and support.<\/span><\/p>\n

A big thank you to all those who believe in this initiative and who, every day, help us to move forward! Together, through solidarity, we can build a better future for Ukraine.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
