During the Mayors’ Congress held in mid-November in Paris, a Ukrainian delegation organized by <\/span>Stand With Ukraine<\/i><\/b>, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, <\/b>Cities4Cities<\/i><\/b>,<\/span> and the Association of French Mayors<\/b> enabled several Ukrainian mayors to meet their French counterparts across various regions. Among these fruitful exchanges, Ms. <\/span>Svitlana Spazheva, Mayor of Pokrovsk<\/b>, visited <\/span>Moret-Loing-et-Orvanne<\/b> to meet with <\/span>Mr. Dikran Zakeossian<\/b>, the town\u2019s mayor.<\/span><\/p>\n

Accompanied by a representative from <\/span>Cities4Cities<\/i><\/b>, Ms. Spazheva began her visit with a meeting with <\/span>Mr. Jochmans, Deputy Mayor of Veneux-Les Sablons<\/b>. She explored the <\/span>reconstruction site of the Veneux church<\/b>, a project emblematic of the region\u2019s heritage preservation efforts.<\/span><\/p>\n

A convivial lunch followed, bringing together the mayors and several guests, including a representative of the <\/span>Aide M\u00e9dicale et Caritative France-Ukraine<\/i><\/b> association and <\/span>Ms. Alla Demydenko, a Ukrainian refugee<\/b> residing in Moret-Loing-et-Orvanne. This moment of exchange strengthened ties between the elected officials and the local Ukrainian community, addressing various topics ranging from <\/span>wartime reconstruction<\/b> to<\/span> solidarity initiatives <\/b>between the two countries.<\/span><\/p>\n
