A landmark ceremony, a true symbol of unity and hope\"\"<\/p>\n

In the afternoon before the ceremony, Emmanuel Macron met President Zelensky and President-elect Donald Trump<\/strong> at the \u00c9lys\u00e9e Palace. Together, they discussed the situation in Ukraine and how to move towards a just and lasting peace.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe all want this war to end as quickly as possible and in a just manner. We talked about our people, the situation on the ground and a just peace. We agreed to continue working together and to keep in touch. Peace by force is possible,\u201d said President Zelensky on X.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

These discussions, essential to progress towards the end of the war, highlighted the need for unwavering support from the United States and the international community. As President Zelensky stressed, a strong Ukraine is the key to achieving a just and lasting peace. A Ukraine supported by its allies will be able to guarantee not only its sovereignty, but also the stability and security of Europe as a whole.<\/strong><\/p>\n
