On the 3rd Anniversary of Russia\u2019s Full-Scale Invasion, Municipal Libraries Across France Celebrate the Richness of Ukrainian Culture and Literature<\/strong><\/p>\n

From major cities to the smallest towns, libraries across France are coming together to showcase significant Ukrainian works translated into French.<\/p>\n

Among them are the sharp and humorous narratives of Andrey Kurkov<\/strong>, the powerful and committed verses of Taras Shevchenko<\/strong>, a symbol of the fight for freedom, and the compelling writings of literary and feminist icon Lesia Ukrainka<\/strong>, alongside works by Serhiy Zhadan, Lina Kostenko, and poet Liubov Yakymchuk<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Throughout the centuries, Ukrainian writers have resisted oppression. Even today, Russia seeks to silence them. Among its victims is Viktoria Amelina<\/strong>, killed by a missile strike in Kramatorsk. Her book Looking at Women Looking at War<\/em>, recently published in France, is part of our #YellowAndBluePages<\/strong> selection.<\/p>\n

Launched in partnership with the Association of Mayors of France and Presidents of Intermunicipalities<\/strong> and the Embassy of Ukraine in France<\/strong>, this initiative honors Ukraine\u2019s enduring cultural resilience.<\/p>\n
